Exude Passion on Your Resume: Ways to Write Curriculum Vitae with Brimming Enthusiasm

By: Maurice Walowski

Many of today’s applicants think that writing a resume within standard parameters would give a call for an interview. Although hiring managers do love to see curriculum vitae that follow all the rules, they consider trashing resumes that have no enthusiastic value.

Hiring managers are the recipient of forlorn applications speaking about how applicant A delivered extraordinary results to company A. There is always this play safe factor wherein the applicant treats the application seriously. The cultural trend of writing resumes has become more job-oriented than self-promotional.

The truth is, hiring managers enjoy it when they see a resume brimming with passion and enthusiasm. Employing key roles and a clear job objective help, but those factors only contribute to an energetic, invigorating employment abstract. Applicants should remember that his/her curriculum vitae should stand out among rest.

Provide the hiring manager with a worthy document that presents you in a confident, passionate light. Here are some tips in writing curriculum vitae brimming with passion and enthusiasm:

  • Unique header – Dull and boring resumes often start out with an unimpressive header. Common headers positioned on the center of the page with the contact details printed out in a crude fashion are never going to spark a hiring manager’s attention. The scenario is like watching a movie: if moviegoers do not appreciate the film’s introduction, then they will leave the movie house in search for another movie.

Same with hiring managers, they will skip through resumes that have plain headers. Applicants should remember that the header is one of the most important parts of any resume and should be formatted in a unique way.

  • Galvanizing job objectives – Hiring managers want an applicant to state a job objective in an electric, formidable manner. The objective should immediately speak about the applicant and his/her worth. Objectives covered with boilerplate statements would never get the job done and could outright sabotage the whole application process.
  • An interest for the position being applied for – Show immeasurable interest to the job position that you are applying for. This will give the hiring manager the urge to pick up the phone and converse about the vacancy. Do not falter and go full velocity. Provide the hiring manager a beating enthusiasm and burning passion.
